Default media card error question

Please Login to Remove!

hi,

i just had a question about an error i just got when trying to install music onto my memory card for my javelin. here was the error i got, "A Media Card has been insterted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."

What i did was format the memory card and then reinstalled the songs and everything is fine.

by getting that error does it affect the phone device itself at all or just the memory card? like will these errors be saved to the device and change the device content at all or does it specifically deal with just the memory card and not the device at all.

also. when unplugging the javelin from my mac i get the error on my computer that says, "the device was not properly removed." is that bad for the phone at all?

thanks so much,

ipaqman

The formating error you got is specific to the card, it should have no impact to your BlackBerry.

As for the "improperly removed" message, you are probably OK, unless you were upgrading your OS or downloading an app and unplugged it before the task was finished.
