Default Problem with my BB

Please Login to Remove!

I have had the BB8900 for a month now i guess, and since ive had it, it has started reseting itself on its own. I havnt noticed why and i have called tmobile but i really dont want a refirb phone. Can anyone give me any advice on what to do so this wont happen again.

possible you have an app with a memory leak?

check teh free mem upon a battery pull and check it during the day to see if its the issue.

So pull the battery out and check the memory, how would i know if thats the problem.
Sorry i havnt had this problem before, i had the pearl 8120 and way before i had a 7xxx series and never had the issue so idk

If the memory drops dramatically during the day, that would be an indication of a memory leak problem.

Have you recently installed any 3rd party programs? They may be conflicting with something else on the device.

You may also benefit from an OS upgrade.

Can someone point me to the right direction in what to do to solve this problem. Also i have been trying to get a new OS but it wont let me download off the site.

Have you tried the recommendations already posted?

1. Check to see if you have any 3rd party apps open and running.

2. Check your free memory: Options>Status>File Free.

3. Pull the battery for about 30 seconds, with the device powered on. After you re-insert the battery and the device reboots, check the free memory again.

What link did you use to accss the OS upgrade on your computer? How did it prevent you from downloading? Any error messages?

Also, try removing the media card, or re-format the media card as well (first backup the data on the media card, but NOT any *.dat file). I had a constant-reboot issue as well but when I reformat the media card, it is OK.
