Default Wifi...

Please Login to Remove!

So I have a BB 8900 without a data-plan. I turned off Mobile Network (in manage connections) and set it to my Wifi connection. The thing is when I have Data Services off, I can't browse the internet, but when I have it on I can.

So, My question is...when I'm using the internet through the Wifi connection with my Data Services on, am I using my Wifi connection or am I using my cell phone providers connection thingy...?

lol i hope that made sense

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry Curve 8900)

You are using your Wi-Fi. Just make sure to go to Options > Advanced Options > Browser and set the Default Browser option to HotSpot browser.

Hi
This means anytime if I want to connect via Wifi or gprs (edge), I will have to switch between HotSpot Browser and and Browser in Default Browser?
