Default Crashing?

Please Login to Remove!

Anyone else having a problem with 8900 crashing and rebooting for no apparent reason? Both my wife and I get this on a nearly daily basis. It's annoying when it happens after typing a long email or on an incoming call, especially because it takes so long to reboot. At first I thought it was maybe my QuickPull acting up, but my wife doesn't have that installed.

Might a newer OS help (we're both on .114)?

Thanks

Do you have media cards? Try removing them and see if it stops.

I would also suggest after checking the SD card you should upgrade your OS to the latest for model that's on this forum.

Darn my brain is on slow tonight. If you do upgrade your phone OS, then you should backup your SD card, then format it with the device after the upgrade.

Thanks for the quick responses. If it is the media card, not much I can do about it since we need it for listening to music. So I guess I'll try an upgrade. What do you mean by "formatting it with device after upgrading"?

Copy all your media card file to your PC. On your BB, go to options/memory then press the berry key and choose format.

When copying the files back to the media card, make sure you only copy original files you put on, not the .dat files the BB added.

Check out this thread for great instructions:
