1) In another thread someone recommended putting the phone in Standby Mode... What is Standby mode, what does it do for your phone, and how do you activate it?

2) In the Clock Menu it gives an option for bedside mode, what is that?

3) If I turn my Blackberry off but have the alarm set, will the alarm still sound when the specified time comes?

I read through the user guide that came with the phone and it was extremely basic and not that in depth. I went to the BlackberryFAQ website but didn't notice anything listed for the 8900...Thanks for your help.

hold the mute button for standbye mode, it turns off the screen and disables the keypad, a little powersave mode

2) search for, its faster then typing again

and yes the phone will come back on and ring the alarm.

Every time i go to bed i put mine on Stand by Mode and it helps to saves some battery life.
