Unhappy My Browser is shot

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my 8900 curve for about 2 weeks now. Everything was working fine until about 2 days ago.

I try Google, i get Error 400 Bad Request. Detail : Connection to Google refused

I try The Internet Movie Database (IMDb), i get Error 400 Bad Request. Detail: Connection to The Internet Movie Database (IMDb) refused.

Does he same for cnn.com and all other sites. But things like Google Maps that uses the google web-servers works fine.

Even with my bank, I try to connect to https://mybankname and it gives the same Error 400.

It does this on the Mobile Network AND on my home Wifi with broadband.

Any ideas? Ive tried restarting, clearing stuff, nothing.

What do you call restarting? Did you pull the battery?

You could try going to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Key > Register Now.

Ok I found a solution of sosrts,

If I change my browsing apn to vodafone live! It works fine. If I set it back to blackberry internet it gives the errors. I would rather stick to blackberry cause that's unlimited , the vodafone apn uses my data bundle.

By resetting I mean I turn it off by holding down power key then again to turn it on.

You want to remove the battery when resetting the device.

Hi,

sorry but ive been away. Yes its the Blackberry browser. I assume by default, it connects to the Blackberry APN. on that APN I just get "connection refused" when I try to browse.

If i force a difference APN, in this case my normal Vodafone internet APN it works fine.

My network provider has said there is nothing wrong with my account and it cant be a data usage issue because the BB APN is unlimited for device browsing.

I'm still using the Vodafone APN, everytime I switch back to the BB one i get the connection refused errors above. I tried removing the battery to reboot as well, problem persists.

The blackberry browser will only work for you if (a) you have purchased a blackberry data plan and (b) you have registered your blackberry with the data service and (c) the service books have been pushed to your device. It sounds like you have purchased the blackberry data service, but I'm not sure. To be clear, it must be data service specific to blackberry.

Make sure those three conditions are met. Are they?
