Hi all,

I dropped my brand new 8900 curve scratching the chrome bezel and I'm gutted I ordered a new bezel on the web which arived today and follwed the instructions and pics on this site to try and fit it.

I removed the battery, sim and memory card. Then removed top and bottom trims, allowing me to remove all six screws. With all 6 screws removed, the blackplstic housing lifts up and releases on oneside (volume button side), but will not release on the other side (voice command button side). Why will it not release and lift off like the othe side. I have tried to gently lift it away but it won't come. I don't want to break it. Has anyone got any ideas that could help? What am I doing wrong?

What type of hammer are you using? ;)

Thx for the link. I used the video tutorial, but the black casing still will not lift off even with all six screws removed. Can anybody else offer any advise?

The cover is probably just stuck. Re-insert the screw where it is stuck but do not fix it entirely, then push back the cover by pressing on the screw. The cover should release now.

you need to pry it off it has tabs that sink under the electronic boarding. be careful, use a thing plastic wedge to help pop it out...

On another note, does anyone know how we can take off the branding? I have a orange decal on on the plastic piece covering the camera and flash...is that interchangeable?
