New guy here. Got a 8900 just recently, been lurking in the forums for a while now, but just got the courage to sign up. Wanted to say hello.

But joking aside, I have a question that I hope someone could give me a clear answer to - with regards to my 8900 Curve.

Q1: Is there a way to get rid of the little icons at the bottom of the screen - to hide them in order to gain some screen real estate?

Q2: Also what's the procedure to get 2 or more messages (calender event reminders, for example) to show up on the home screen? Is that theme-specific or is there some hidden function/feature to enable this?

Both of your questions are theme related. There are themes availible that will "hide" the row of icons on the bottom deck, and display more Today entries.

Check out the Media Center...lots of good theme builders post there.
