From the applications screen, click the menu button and choose 'Switch Application'.

Or, hold Alt then press the Back button?

This will also allow "jumping" from one app to another.

Also just hold down the menu button for a bit longer than necessary to call up the menu (maybe 1-2 seconds) and all the running programs will show. You can then switch programs if so desired.

Welcome to the forums.

No, you will need to press the Menu Key and select Close/Exit. In most native applications and some third party applications, you can press and hold the escape (back) key and it will close out of applications.
