Hello, I am going crazy with getting my google Talk up and running on my new 8900. I have a voice & data plan and everything else is working as smooth as possible. However, I am loosing my hopes for Google Talk. I deleted it & re-installed it twice but with no result. Everytime I try logging in, it makes an attempt and a message displays 'service not activated for this handheld'

I'd certainly appreciate if anyone has any solution to it

This is what usually happens when there is no Service Book for the app.

try resending the service books (if you haven't done so) and then restart the phone. This solved the problem for me.

there is also a chance your carrier might block the app.

you can ask you carrier to re-send the service book to you again , (then restart your handle)
and u can find it in option - advanced options - service book.

you cannot resend service books from options-advanced-service book.

you can send service books from your carriers BIS site. (where you setup email)
or by going to options-advanced-host routing table - click menu - register now.
