Ok this problem is driving me nuts. I was about to throw this phone at a wall.

When you insert the phone into the leather pouch it comes with, it goes into holster mode and goes to sleep right? Well When I take the phone out, sometimes it just stays stuck in that holster mode. I have to put the phone on TOP of the pouch in order to keep the screen on. If I move the pouch away, it goes into holster mode again. So basically it is doing the exact opposite than what it is meant to do. To fix it I have to bring it close to the holster and quickly take it away ... sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.

Another problem and the most annoying one is that when I leave my pouch at home and go outside, it usually stays in my pocket. BUT it automatically goes into holster mode in my pocket!!!!!!!!!!!!!! W T F!?!?!?!??!?!! I have to take the battery out and reset the stupid phone a couple of times and then I can see the screen. All chance! Sometimes it just stays stuck in the holster mode and I receive calls but I can't pick them up! and NO I don't have a magnet in my pockets. Come on guys help me out here before I either break this piece of shit phone into pieces or sell it to get something less buggy.

I am using v4.6.1.94 (Platform 4.2.0.69)

All this happened when I updated my software to something from the BB site

The latest OS is stickied here in the 8900 discussion forum. Latest platform is 4.2.0.113. Instuctions to install are plain and simple. Try updating the OS first before you do something terrible to a beautiful device. Then let us know what happens.
