Hi there. Sincere apologies if this has been asked before, as I'm sure it must have been. I'll admit I am lazy and only scanned the first page of threads to see if it was there. Anyway....

I got my first ever BlackBerry two days ago and have been figuring it all out. One thing i was very surprised by was the lack of emoticons. Is there any reason that it doesn't have them? If not, does anyone know of a decent, safe freeware app or some way of getting emoticons for it? It's the 8900 Curve v4.6.1.206

They're available in BB Messenger only. when composing a message just hit the symbol key 3 times. They are on page 3 & 4.

There was a program that was out for a little bit but I'm not sure if it's still out there that was like a shortcut to the emotions but it wouldn't show the smiley's. It was just a quicker way of typing the faces
