Hi there.

This is the first time I've ever had a BlackBerry and I have just a few quick questions. I've looked about and didn't see anything that could help me. My apologies if I overlooked something though.

First of all, when I receive an SMS, is there a way to get the screen to light up, as opposed to just the little red dot on the top? When I have my phone on silent but in front of me, I don't often notice the red light straight away, or hear the vibrate if it's on a soft surface.

Secondly, after a while of texting I get an alert saying my SIM card is full and I need to delete texts. It seems my SIM does not hold very many texts, and I'm used to not deleting them so quickly from my previous phones, is there a way to be able to store more of them for longer?

1. No, not with the native OS. There could be a third party app to do that, I don't recall it.

2. Your SMS should not be saving to the SIM card. Options > SMS Text > Leave Messages on SIM card = NO, and SAVE.

I thought that might've had something to do with it, but I don't like playing with things when I don't know what they do. Thank you for the help.

I believe BBalerts will do what you want in terms of the screen lighting up.

One more question: Is there a button I can press to keep Caps Lock turned on until I'm finished using it? Or do I have to continue pressing Caps Lock over and over again for every single letter I want capitalised?

I believe its the same as the bold:
press the alt key and the RIGHT caps key and it will caps continously until you do the same alt + right side caps key to disable.
