Wirelessly posted As I've watched all my friends stick with the iPhone and even buy the new 3G S I've been talking lots of crap about the 8900 and how it's the best of both worlds. How even the 8900's camera blows away the iPhone 3G S camera. The one inexplicable thing is the poor way the 8900 records video. 1) the 8900 records in 240x180 which makes it pretty much unwatchable on any sort of web based player. 2) the file sizes are very large and nearly impossible to make one that you can send via email. I'm not sure why RIM would make such a great device and muck up something so obvious. At the very least I'm going back to the 3G S and will maintain both devices and at the worst i'll return my 8900 since I'm still within my 30 days. |
On the Bold, you can change the option for size from normal (full screen size) to MMS size which is smaller. I think the settings for your video camera may be on MMS size. check your options. |
Switch - if you got the 8900 for video, you have the wrong device. And your friends won't give you crap. |
Do you want a toy or a tool? Apps, games and video recording are toys. The BB is a tool with a couple added perks. |

Wirelessly posted How are you going to complain about how video sucks on a blackberry when the iphone had to go through two other versions before it even got a video recording device. Its not an iphone its a blackberry. If you want a video camera you know where to go. |
