Default A couple of questions - 07-01-2009, 05:12 PM

Hey everyone,

I am thinking about buying a Blackberry Curve 8900, but first, I wanted to ask a few questions.

Ok, so is it true that this Blackberry has WIFI wherever you go?

Is this Blackberry good for checking and replying to e-mails and Twitter.

Easy to update your Wordpress blog too.

Has a copy and paste function?

Thanks and appreciate it

Not true. It only uses WiFi when you're in range of an accessible WiFi network/hotspot.

No there is not a BB that access to wi-fi anywhere.
You need a wi-fi access point to use wi-fi.
just like a laptop or pc.

Are you talking specifically about WiFi or just being able to connect to the web? If you are just talking about WiFi then no, as mentioned you need a WiFi signal to recieve. If there's no signal there's no WiFi.
If on the other hand you mean connecting the web regardless of how then you can access the web through your service provider and use the mobile network to access it.

Oh, I mean connecting to the web then.

Because, I just want to be able to check my e-mails (as I receive a lot frequently) when I am away from home etc.

Another thing... will I need to be on contract to do this?

Thanks

you can get emails pushed to your device!
to do this you need a Blackberry data plan, which you can only get on contract.

Is that a definate though, because someone told me if I was on Pay As You Go, I could pay an extra £5 per month for Blackberry Internet Service.

Is this correct?

Thanks

Check with your carrier for specific information on Pay As You Go accounts. A few carriers offer BlackBerry Data on PAYG - most do not.
