This app by EmPower is currently in Beta:
Empower HTML Email Viewer, Blackberry Threaded SMS and more
Go to AppLock - click on Private Beta and add your info in the pop-up screen.

Not sure if they are still taking testers but I know it is still accepting submissions.

A standard BB App which asks for a password is Password Keeper. I'm not sure if there are any other App which have a password prompt but you can try the other poster's suggestion.

Generally, the BB password prompt is used to lock the entire device rather than app specific.

8900 Unlocked BES
App:4.6.1.250 Plt:4.2.0.113
8700 Unlocked
App:4.5.0.153 Plt:2.7.0.105

@ violator:

Thanks for the help, unfortunately they are in closed private beta right now.

@mjgs1971:

I have the whole phone on password lock right now, but I find it tedious when I only need to lock Docs to go...

This is the only other app I remember seeing but I know nothing about it or the developer but it is supposed to be compatible with the 8900:

SafeBox_0.0.2 - Personal Productivity Blackberry Software

However at $10 bucks - it is cheaper, and overall much more secure, using the BB lock.
