Default Software or Hardware error (white/grey display) - 07-04-2009, 04:46 AM

Hello,

my 8900 suddenly shows a white background with grey stripes.

All other function are ok, phone calls etc.
I can make screenshots via USB. Everything seems to be ok.
I tried to wipe and install the newest firmware. But the display is just white and grey.

Should i send it to RIM?
The Curve 8900 is just 4 weeks old.

Thanks for any ideas.

Sorry for my english (i am from germany).

Welcome to BB Forums!

I suggest to return the unit if it has warranty. Maybe that particular device has an LCD problem.

Have you tried pulling the battery for about 30 seconds with the device powered on?

1st Step in Troubleshooting: Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan?
2nd Step in Troubleshooting: Pull the Battery.
