Default Homescreen Facebook notification - 07-04-2009, 12:43 PM

I'm showing one new Facebook notification on my homescreen but can't find it within the app itself?

Anyone?

PS I did check the saved messages file as well.

Try logging from the website and clearing them all and see if that clears the app.

I run into this with 1.6 all the time. After I open the app on my 8900, I roll the trackball up the the 2nd icon from the left in the top icon bar. That one is for "notifications". This is, 99% of the time, where the latest messages show up that trigger the homescreen alert.

I have this same issue... facebook icon on screen, but no message. I've pulled battery and tried going to website to wipe notifications. Nothing works yet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated? I am getting used to this Curve, and so when replying, please assume I am clueless (which I am). Thanks.

Actually I had one message in my Notification icon @ the top of the screen. Check that first.

Ok, I have a dumb question. How do I check that? I can't get my trackball to go to the top of the homescreen.

Default Facebook notification won't go away - 07-31-2009, 07:38 PM

I went into the app and checked notifications, but there are none. I've also deleted old facebook notices in messages, just to make sure I didn't miss one. I still have the icon indicating I have one message, and it won't go away... Help?

I don't know if this matters, but when I get a new message on facebook, it has a red indicator. With this one notification that won't leave, it is simply a white 1 next to the facebook icon. Didn't know if that would help. Thanks to anyone with advice!

Hey, I just fixed it! I went into the facebook app, clicked on the date, hit the bb button, selected "Mark prior opened" and it went away!
