Default anyone else having issues with the cheap paint bubbling and pealing from their 8900

I'm having problems around my BB 8900 bezel. The imatation chrome paint is bubbling and pealing. I've owned 3 BB's. 2 8800's and 1 8320 all passed on to my wife and sons. All still in great condition. This is the first BB I've ever had a problem with. The imatation chrome is bubbling and pealing. The Tmo Rep even agreed he could see it was bubbling up but since this is not a "known issue" with tmobile they could not warranty it. He even agreed it shouldnt be doing this but could do nothing. IS Anyone else having the same issues???? or am I the only lucky person in the world having this problem?? This is a defect in both material and workmanship which under the warranty should be replaced without question for 1 year from purchase. RIM even told the Rep if he felt it was a warranty they would honor this. I really feel if this was my car the dealer would not be telling me it would have to be a known issue first before repairing this or replacing it. BTW this isnt an issue of wear. Wear dosent cause bubbling first then pealing. Poor craftmanship causes this.

I agree with you that it is a crummy paint job and it peels and cracks and I just replaced mine with a beautiful black bezel and it looks really great and it was easy to do and there is even a Youtube video on how to do it and it only took around 15 minutes assuming you have the right tools to remove the six screws that are in the back of the Blackberry and it was a simple solution to a problem that was really bugging me but it didn't have anything to do with the performance of the 8900 it just looked really bad.

I had the same issue as you around the lcd it looked really bad so I purchased a new black bezel like NJBlackberry and never looked back. it really sucked because I loved the chrome finish i was just bummed because it started to chip off after 3 months :(

The 8900 is by far one of the greatest bb devices when it came out too bad the paint didnt last very long.

I didn't like the fake chrome at all - I love the black frame.
