The Sim would be the only thing I can think of. Are you going to keep the Sim? Or do you have to return the phone with the Sim?

i need to do this without using pc, copy to sim would be ideal but cant see how its done. copied contacts from sim originally but they been changed a lot since then and would prefer to copy to sim. its only the names and numbers, no mail or messages.

Google sync is a program you download to your BB.
It syncs contacts to google.
You can then sync those contacts back to your BB when you download the program on the new phone.

There's also an app called "PhoneBAKup" that allows you to backup to microSD or even mail the backup to yourself...

Ditto PDM, PhoneBakUp works well, and restores the data also.

You can copy phone numbers to your SIM, one phone number at a time. If you have more than one phone number attached to a single contact, each number must be copied individually. You cannot copy the entire contact entry so any information other than the phone numbers will be lost.

Without a computer or a recent backup (you do make regular backups, don't you?), you are simply out of luck or SOL.

thanks guys for all the answers. have not backed this one up as it was only yesterday that it started getting used, however a fault developed that requires it being replaced (poor BB) so i wanted to know if i could copy contacts to sim same as you do on normal phone. i cant use a pc to do it as my home computers are being reinstalled since we are moving office and they will not be available till wed (phone returned tomorrow and the machine i am on at mo is in a secure installation and you cant load software. google sync looks simple so im trying that one now. i really appreciate your help and will look at the other suggestions as well
thanks again
