Upgrade for 8100 to 8900?
As time goes by and the need for reading glasses has arrived. It is getting harder to fit enough on the screen of my little pearl with the font I am using. So I am looking at a larger screened model. I am with Tmobile and it looks like the 8900 has the biggest screen available. The problem is the qwerty keypad looks to be a bit harder to see. Has anyone done this upgrade for similar reasons and if so what are your impressions?
I got real glasses and have no problems seeing screens or keyboards. Progressive lenses are great.
There comes a time when your arms just get too short and ou need to suck it up and make the leap.
Dont worry about it too much. I use the 8900. I am on tmobile. I use font size 14. After using the 8900 for a few weeks you tend to know where the keys are. Letter D and letter J are perforated keys so that they act as your guiding stars as to where the rest of the keys are on the keypad.
Finally I am partially sighted and doing absolutely well with the 8900. So go for it.
Also have a look at the 9000 Bold. My personal view is that it is better than the 8900. It is more feature rich but is a touch too big for my liking.
Hope this helps!
