Default Some New Mail Delivered to Hidden "Messages" Folder

Please Login to Remove!

All of a sudden I am getting some new mail, One from Tmo about an upgrade, delivered to my "messages" folder. I also got 3 pin messages there as well...I don't normally use Blackberry Msgr, but in the past they have always gone to the Msgr app. Today, to that same hidden Messages folder, with my sms sound.

My Blackberry Msgr app messages have a different sound.

I have the Messages folder hidden and usually use just my Yahoo Mail folder, my Blackberry Mail folder

If you can tell me what I did or what is happening, I'd appreciate it

thanks

All PIN messages and (I believe) Carrier messages go to your "Messages" Folder. You need to unhide it if you want to see these type of messages.

All messages go to the messages folder and to a folder for each account. There is a 3rd party app, Empower, that can help split things out. Don't know much about it, other than seeing some posts on here, particularly to help BES users split out email.

The OP was asking about PIN messages. They only show up in the general messages folder. BES messages go to the messages folder and will go to a separate mailbox if you use Empower or have your BES Admin follow these directions.

Empower doesn't work very well with an OS of 4.5 or later.

Wirelessly posted (8900 on T-Mo)

PIN messages only go to the message folder when the option "Show conversations in message list" is set to "yes".

You can set it to "no" and the BM conversations will only show up in the BM app.
