Default SMS Lag?

Please Login to Remove!

So I know there have been many threads like this, but none of them have really helped me and have not resolved my problem.

My problem is that there is lag when I am sending and opening SMS messages from the people that I text a lot. There is no lag with the people that I don't text very often. But with the people that I do text very often, when I send a text it lags for 5-10 seconds before going back to the SMS inbox; when I open a received unread text it lags for 5-10 seconds before showing me the actual text.

I have the most recent OS; I've set the number of previous items to 4; I've tried deleting all my texts (plus I'd rather keep my old texts at least for a few days); and I have 126168439 bytes of free space.

Is there any way I can get rid of and fix this lag? Please and thank you for any help.

I have the same problem. If I engage in a SMS conversation with somebody, it lags a lot after about 10 texts..

The only way I know to speed it back up is to delete most of the texts of the person you're texting..

It seems to help if you go to Options > SMS Text and set the number of previous items to a small number.

There is still lag, but not a bad. I experience this with contacts that I text alot, myself. I normally highlight their name and do a Search Sender and then delete their texts to clear up the lag.
