So I recently moved and we now have "mts tv" we have always had their internet.... But they did the install and they provided the wireless router.... Most of that is irrelevent bc up until today I have had no problems but they had to come and hook up the home phone properly and since then ( most likly a coincidence) I have a hard time connecting to the wifi... A. Battery pull works but then 15min later I get "sim not valid" errors and "SOS" I still get msgs but its fusterating bc at the same time wifi is in and out.... And I haven't done anything to my phone for a long time now what could the problem be?? Thanks a ton!!!

It sounds like it's not the wifi since you're getting the sim error.

I got sim not valid errors (or something like that) after I'd been in Asia for 2 weeks where it was humid. I thought it was a phone or SIM card problem, but as soon as I hit Japan on a layover it took a long time before the error came up. Then zero problems when I made it back to the states. Must have been the very dry atmosphere in the plane.

If moisture doesn't seem to be an issue, then maybe the SIM needs replacing. You could try cleaning the contacts.

For the heck of it, try this VOIP test which will check the wifi connection to see if it's capable of handling calls. But since the wifi is going in and out it does seem to be on the phone side.

You mention moisture / humidity and when I think of it my basement is very humid... And my room is in the basement, I will keep an eye on it thanks for the help!
