Okay so I was restoring the OS on my phone (AT&T 8900) and it froze so I decided to unplug it from my laptop. The phone now has an all-white screen and the OS loader is having trouble detecting it. What can I do to get it back up and running? It doesn't matter if I lose all my data in the process. Thanks

Go to BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ
Find the two threads on How To Erase your BB with JL_CMDER and the one immediately after it.

Wipe it out.
Reload the OS using the "Loader" program

Your data should be in a file <something>.IPD which you can restore later (after the OS is loaded).

Wirelessly posted (overwhelmingly stressed)

You will need jl_cmder
Wipe the device and attempt to restore the OS
There are complete instructions in the FAQ section

You have to try to install the OS again, and do not uplug it at all. It takes a long time to do an OS install. Maybe an hour or more in some instances. I usually do something completely different while I'm doing an upgrade, like watching TV.

Pull the battery, plug it back in and see if you can get the install to recognize it and install the OS again. If not, you may have to try to wipe the device and start over again.

Hey guys, I pulled the battery and thank God the OS loaded right up as if nothing had ever happened.

Thanks for all the help.
