Default new java.lang.NullPointerException error

Please Login to Remove!

I had some issues with my BIS account not working, the upshot of which was on the tech-guy's advice I deleted my service books (except the two provisioning ones).

Since everything came back online (they had to kill my BIS account and reactivate it) I've had "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" on every soft reset. I tried deleting all my 3rd party apps, and it made no difference. So I reinstalled most of them. Still no difference (except when there were no 3rd party apps, the error message had a full window, and when the apps were reinstalled, the top of the window was truncated).

Is there a way to work out what the problem might be? I don't want to do a full reset as I am away from any PCs at the moment.

Ok, well, I'll keep trying, but I must have battery pulled about 5 times already at least.

It turns out the sms module was broken (realised I wasn't getting any texts, and ss inbox folder gave the java error). Hopefully a firmware restore should sort this bad boy out.

hey i had the same problem with my blackberry. have u tried wiping your phone. basically what it would do is restart your phone. if u are going to wipe your phone save all the important suff like contacts on to your sim card etc. i did the exact same thing to my phone and that did the trick. so this is how u do it go to settings, options, security options, general settings then click the blackberry button and click wipe handheld. it will take a couple minutes but like i said save all the important stuff like your pics, music, contacts etc. before. hopefully this helps u out ;)
