Default Curve 8900 Not Ringing

This week, my Curve 8900 stopped ringing.

It does not ring when I receive a call, with the alarm, or when ussing BB messenger.

It vibrates, though.

What I've done so far:

1. Profiles. Reviewed my Normal(Active) profile under the Profiles menu tab Advanced. Tried several options on the Phone settings, including Out of Holster: Tone, Vibrate+Tone, changed the Ring Tone, changed the Volume. Made sure Mute, None, or Do Not Disturb options were NOT selected. Nothing.

2. Chose a different profile, such as Loud. Nothing.

3. Turned the phone off, pulled the battery out and reinserted. Nothing.

4. Turned the phone on, pulled the battery out and reinserted. Nothing.



Anybody got any ideas?

I just went to the Media icon, tried to play some Ring Tones and a Video, cannot hear anything.

What OS are you using? i found that when I upgraded to .190 i lost some ring tones that came with the phone. I was mising calls becuse my selected ring tones was not working. I only find about 15 tones that does not work so far

OS version 4.6.1.231

However, I did not update it in the last week or so. The phone was ringing perfectly until this Monday.

In any event, I tested all the ring tones per your suggestion, no success.

I guess it is probably time to talk to AT&T about this. Thanks for the suggestions, though.

I just got my 8900 today and I noticed on my various Profile settings the default was MUTE even though I had toggled a sound file. Did you see that and it stills does not work?
