Default Syncing calendar and tasks with Outlook 2003

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Hope someone can help with this. When I try to set up syncing blackberry desktop manager with Outlook 2003, it is not listed as an option for syncing calendar and tasks. Strangely, it is listed for contacts. Under both calendar and tasks, the options I get are:

ASCII importer/exporter; and
Yahoo!

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and also downloading and installing version 5 of the desktop manager (my phone came with version 4). But nothing works. Please help!

My phone is a Blackberry Curve 8900, I use Windows XP Professional v. 5.1, and Outlook 2003.

Thanks

Are you also on a Corporate BES or has the device been used on BES previously?

Are you sure it sees Outlook and not Outlook Express?

Hi there,

Thanks for the response. In answer to your questions, it sees Outlook Express but only for address book. And I'm not using BES, and never have.

Thanks

I prefer to use a Google Account as a stripped-down BES.

I agree...my Google Calendar is great and integrate with the phone. Much more portable and adaptable to any network.

Hi,

I have to use Outlook 2003 for work. I tried installing the google sync app, but it only finds Outlook 2000 on my machine (which I'm pretty sure isn't even there). Any other solutions out there? You would have thought this would be fairly simple!

You need to figure that out first. LOL... The Outlook 2000 is probably 2003.
