Ive searched but no threads with solutions or relevant info come up....

trying to transfer photos taken with the bb to my computer, but when I launch the media mgr app, click on the pictures category in the left pane, nothing appears on the right, despite the phone memory being full. I havent added any extra memory to the phone, comes with whatever an ATT 8900 comes with. I think 15MB or so....

Is there something Im doing wrong? I dont see the phone in windows file explorer, or Id simply try to drag and drop.

You not seeing any pictures at all? Or you are not able to transfer them?

There are several ways to get the photos to your computer. Using your phone, send an email to yourself with these photos attached. Then, read your mail using your computer. Save these attached files/photos to your computer.

In the future, it is better to save your photos in the SD Card (media card). In that case, one other option to tranfer is to take the SD card out of your phone, using a card reader, save the photos in your SD card to your computer. Most of the recent computers now has card readers. If yours doesn't have one, you can buy a card reader for about $4-$6.

I love how this newest blackberry cant do a simple thing like transfer photos via usb cable. Every phone Ive had with a damn camera could do this, in a snap. Why are there always such annoying lapses in newer products? Why build a 3.2 mp camera into a device, then fail to build extraction into the software? I dont understand, I really dont. Im glad I didnt pay $250 for this phone, Id be really pissed.

I know I can email myself the photos, but the transfer option is something that should be available. Emailing is tedious with this many photos.

So at what point did you decide it was a better idea to store the pics on the phone itself rather than the sd card? It's funny because if you had only done that, then there would be a couple of different ways to skin the cat.... now you are left to complain about the phone when it seems that you actually made things harder on your own....

What is your goal? If it is to get your photos to your computer now and in the future?
(Solution to now) Either learn how to do it correctly or send them with emails, which you could have done instead of spending time complaining which does not get your photos to your computer.

(Solution for future) Save them to sd card.

Now you have two choices:
(a) Keep complaining which will not solve your problem
(b) Act as suggested which will solve your problem.

You could do either depending on your goal.
