Default Update to DM 5

Please Login to Remove!
Where can I find detailed steps for updating my DM from 4.7 to 5. When I try to upgrade from the DM it fails. Should I just run the new update and will it sit on the previous one? I dont want to make things mixed. Thansk in advance for your time and apologies of it is a trivial topic but I am rather novice on BBs...

download DM 5.0 from the RIM website
uninstall DM 4.7 from your PC.
reboot PC
install DM 5.0

Why the need to uninstall 4.7 first? I didn't need to do that when I installed 5.0.

FYI, uninstalling DM also removes any OS's you have installed on your PC. Yuck.

Only because people have problems depending on OS of PC with DM 5.0
Uninstalling 4.7 is just a "fail safe".
If you have problems, it elliminates 4.7 as a problem.
