Default Updating OS

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, really new to the Blackberry phone but really enjoying it so far.
How should I update the OS? Should I follow the instructions here or should I use the desktop manager, app loader and update the software from there?
Do they both do the same thing?

My other question is whilst abroad how do I turn of BIS so that I wont get emails or accidentally surf the web and incur massive charges?

Thanks for any help offered.
Neil.

You need to follow the instructions here, posted in the sticky at the top of the forum. Follow posted instructions exactly and you should be in good shape.
