Default Blackberyy App. World on Orange Issue. - 10-23-2009, 02:24 PM

Hi.

I have a Curve 8900. I installed Blackberry App. World a while ago, and was using it with no trouble at all.

Suddenly today, when I try to access it, I get 'Upgrade your service to a plan that includes browsing....', and I have to exit.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, done numerous soft resets, but to no avail.

I am on an unlimited data plan, and all my other internet applications, such as e-mail, FB & Maps work perfectly. I have called my service provider (Orange UK), but they cannot (will not?) help..

Any advice greatly appreciated.

O2, Vodafone, Orange and some T-mobile customers (all in the UK) have reported problems with app world here.
Mine's working fine (t-mobile UK), though I ahd data droppage problems yesterday.
But its clear there is a problem somewhere.
Call Orange and let them know, ask if they know whats up.

Default Same problem.. - 10-27-2009, 02:01 PM

I have the exact same problem, I'm on Vodafone. They said to contact BB as I can connect to the internet. I came here as I couldn't find anything to help in BB owners lounge.

you need to talk to vodafones technical support, not customer services.

I did speak to tech support. They told me to try 2 things, neither worked. They said as all other applications were working fine problem must be with BB APP World App?

yup. they cant tell you to contact RIM.
Because you cant contact RIM.
There is no helpline as it were.
RIM will direct you to your carrier.

Its obviously a RIM problem, its happening on your network to different BB's, as well as other networks. But vodafone are the ones that are gonna have to tell RIM that.
