Default Email alerts and no unopened email - can't get rid of them! - 10-25-2009, 05:24 PM

Hello ... I purchased a new 8900 and today I used the cd to move my info from my old curve. I have deleted all the email but a few and everything has been opened or deleted but it still has the yellow envelope thing/icon that means there are 3 unopened email. There are no text messages, no phone calls, etc. Any ideas on how to get rid of that? Thanks! Suzanne

check ALL folders.
no matter how simple you think that is, they hide.
menu -show all
check the individual mailbox icon (if you use the MESSAGES icon) and check the MESSAGES icon if you use the individual mailbox icon.

Default Another problem - 10-27-2009, 01:56 PM

I had a similar problem only with a little gold icon that looked like a globe with a 1 next to it? I'm guessing it was something to do with the internet/browser but never found anything. Eventually it just disappeared??

it was either a browser message or a wap push message.

not really sure what it is, i get them very rarely
you'd find it in MESSAGES - menu - View Folders - WAP push Messages

Default Helpful - 10-27-2009, 02:34 PM

Actually that's really helpful thanks. I find the BB manual hopeless. I searched for ages to find out how to view "all" message folders and couidn't. Now I get it and have managed to clear them all. Thanks again.
