Default Blackberry Locks to fast. Any solutions? - 10-30-2009, 04:35 PM

It feels like I will txt someone, put my phone down and less then 2min later the keypad is locked. My BB is passworded and I don't really mind having to put my password in because id rather be safe then sorry (just in case it gets stolen, lost, w.e) But if im in the car-driving and using an AUX port .. it kinda of gets annoying puting my pass in even when i listen to half a song and want to change it.

Anyways, I have went through the options and I don't see any option for setting a time limit to when the keyboard will lock. Does anyone know any way aronud this (i.e. special option, app, something?)

Thx

The default timeout is 2 minutes. You can find this setting in Options| Password or Options| Security depending on your BlackBerry OS version.

Default What helped me - 11-05-2009, 12:57 AM

I ended up having the same problem execpt i hated typing a word password so i ended up (DL)ing the blackberry apps and (DL)ing patternLock its pretty easy to use and it makes it very easy to unlock ur blackberry (Might only work for storm not sure)

you could be putting your hand over the holster hole at the bottom. If you have it to lock when holstered then this will over ride your 2 min or whatever time you set it at.
