Default really need help with apps - 11-04-2009, 09:47 PM

ok so heres my situiation.....



i have no data plan and my connection is bloacked. however, i have wifi and that works well with my broswer and i am happy with that. but for apps, such as facebook, aim, googletalk and so on (but really mostly mostly facebook i want to use), it says i need a data plan to use it. now i have seen this thread over here Bypass data plan - BlackBerry Support Community Forums



but that doesnt seem to help me and i asked a quesition in that thread a while ago but no1 responded.



so if any1 and i mean any1 knows anything about this and can help me use faceboko app using wifi i knows how to do plz help me out here

He doesn't mention what carrier he's on.
Secondly, he doesn't talk about using the facebook application. What he is using, works for him.
Facebook needs a blackberry data plan to work.
That's it.
There is nothing you can do to get past this.

Just use the mobile site and be happy with that.
Some people even prefer it over the app.

Can't be done since u need an active email attached to the bberry to be able to receive notifications..just use the website, or get the data plan...there really is no point in having a bberry if you aren't going to get a data plan anyway..bberrys werent made to be focused on texting
