Default Battery keeps dying!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, I've had my BB for 7 months now and two of my batteries no longer charge. There is been no water damage or any other sorts of damage. It is very strange.

The first battery refused to charge after 5 months. Basically, a red light comes on then after about a minute there is a battery logo with a thunderbolt on it. I took it back to the o2 shop and they said the warrantee doesn't cover replacement batteries, and suggested I just buy a new one online. I bought a new battery online, and now after 2 months, it also refuses to charge via USB or charger.

Could the phone be breaking the battery? Does any one else have this problem?

Lot's of questions to ask. Just a couple: How do you use your blackberry? Do you always run the battery all the way down before charging, or do you always top it off when you get the chance?

Do you leave you blackberry in the car or someplace where it gets hot?

The other battery you bought after the original OEM battery, was it also OEM or did you buy a knock-off?

There's an article at re batteries. Take a look at it.

Are you letting them get a clear and full charge?

Sounds like a faulty battery you got offline, and as for the other one (Only an assumption since we don't know how you use your blackberry) sounds like you exhausted it, was the one you had in originally a OEM out of the box battery? If you are buying off brand batteries you take a risk of them only lasting so long not to mention not getting the change you want.
