hello im in a bit of a jam someone stole my bb 8900 on 11/30/09 and i was wondering if it could be tracked can anyone help me?????

Only if you have an asset recovery app installed, like Computrace. Otherwise, no. You can tell your carrier and have them disable the PIN. But that's about it.

How is your question at all relevant to the latest OS for BB9700?
