Default music gateway

quick question from a newb,
I have looked on the Blackberry shop and want to purchase the music gateway, it states for a few models of phones and then says compatible with device version 4.2.2 and above.

So am i to presume it is ok for 8900 if my 'system software' states 4.6?

many thanks

ummmm

4.2.2 and above.

4.6 is greater than 4.2.2 so yes it should work

Wirelessly posted

FYI options > about, third line will tell you what device software (OS) version you are running. You can ignore the platform version. Also, alt-caps-H will get you similar info. Look for "app version" in that case.

You can probably pick one up much cheaper on ebay than on shopblackberry.com

It is a little late for some more input, but I will give it anyway. The media gateway works great with both OS 4.6 and 5.0 on the 8900. Have never had an issue.

I would take John Clark's advice and buy it from ebay. I bought mine there and saved tons.
