Lightbulb How to view the full extended calls history

Please Login to Remove!

Dear friends,

I'm far to be a BlackBerry guru, and so I ask you a kind question.

I understand that BlackBerry 8900 has got a full DataBase with all the calls users could have made, received and or missed.

For what I understand, you can check the activity history for one contact simply going into contact list or highlighting one item in the recent calls log (just pressing the green button and highlight one of the calls). But this has got some limitations: what if I need to find a number that called me 10 days ago? I mean to call back a number that I have not saved in my contacts and that now is not listed anymore in the green button list.

What I need is to understand is if it does exist an option to view older calls history.

Looks like that calls listed by pressing the green button are only the last 20.

Is there any way to see those that went out this short list?

Thank you for any help

Kind regards

Robert

Try from the messages folder, alt-p. See if that is a solution for you.

Thak you for your reply.

I've seen that solution before, but I don't catch the exact meaning of it.

Is that ment as "open the sms list" or "open the emails list" ?

Because I tried both and nothing happen pressing and holding pressed the Alt and next the "p" letter.

Thank you for any clarification.

The main messages app. The one that constains all emails, etc. Press alt an p keys at same time, then release.

Sorry I don't wanna bother you,

that messages application, in my meaning, is to press the BB menu button, this shows the long icons list for all the BB's folders, applications, downloaded and so on.

I click the Envelope icon (messages) and from there I access all my sent/received emails.

If you mean from there, well, pressing Alt, keeping it pressed and while pressed to press the p letter, well this makes to happen nothing.

Thank you if you acknowledge

Ok. I assumed you had that feature. Maybe I'm wrong.

What about this... From the messages app, open menue, select view folder, then then scroll down and click on phone call logs. See what you find when you do that.

Coooool ... I used a bit of ZEN... and see what I've discovered...

From inside messages,

- pressing Alt t, shows the total history
- pressing Alt o, filters out and shows all outgoing (out-went) calls, messages, mails
- pressing Alt i, filters out and show all as above but incoming/received
- pressing Alt m, shows received mms
- pressing Alt v, shows vocal messages

Nice, thank you
