Default BB OS not updating

Please Login to Remove!

I downloaded OS v5.0, installed it, deleted the vendor.xml file, plugged in BB, went through the Loader (which took a abnormally short amount of time), and my OS still remains unchanged. Any ideas?

disconnect from the internet, and then update it through the Desktop Software.

btw is there any option of installing this OS without having BES on?

just tried using desktop software, and i get the message about not having a subscription, so i cant update :(
