HI,

Last month i bought a BB 8900. Suddenly the keypad stops working/responding. I dont know what happend. I am getting SMS alerts, Mail alerts but i am unable to veiw those as none of the keys on keypad working.

Do i need to reinstall the software or giving it for customer care. Can you please let me know any solution for this. Thanks in Advance.

Well
It might be a software related

Make a back up of device
and try device software reload

After you done reloading software try using keypad
If doesn't work ask for replacement

If you dont want to waste your time with software reload just ask carrier for replacement.

but be sure to make a backup before you replace device

From what I've seen here, keypad issues are often related to water/moisture damage. Has the phone come into contact with any moisture? Keep in mind, things such as having it in the bathroom while you shower, humid weather, sweaty pockets, etc can cause moisture damage, even leaving it in a cold car in the winter.

Can you see what colour the moisture indicators are?

Keep in mind, most warranties do not cover water damage if that is the case. You may want to call your carrier.
