then realized this and again updated to: (East Asia)
BlackBerry® 8900
smartphone (EDGE, Wi-Fi)
v5.0.0.592 (Bundle 1004, Platform 5.2.0.58)
Cryptographic Kernel v3.8.5.85

When on this 2 versions, i noted that the camera icon no longer exist in the home page. In order to access to the BB camera, i must use the right shortcut key or go into MEDIA icon > picture > camera.

How do i get back the camera icon on the homepage?

Also i found that v5.0.0.411 (Platform 5.2.0.31) gives a very good battery life, but not sure about v5.0.0.592 (Bundle 1004, Platform 5.2.0.58) as just finished updated.

Try looking in the applications folder and unhiding icons.

Go to media, go over the camera icon and press menu, move to folder, and click Home and the camera icon will move onto the home screen.
