Default Media player starts playing, randomly...

Please Login to Remove!

Well, not exactly randomly but since I have loaded various versions of OS 5 on my 8900 I get this behavior: If I have the media player paused in the middle of an audio file (which is often the case, I listen to a lot of podcasts), and I miss a phone call, then occasionally the media player will start playing once the call is complete and the call notification message comes up.
It is maddening, I can be in a meeting, ignore a call and then my media player goes into PLAY mode after the call. It does not always happen but enough that it is driving me nuts.

If anyone has any insight into how to manage this save for closing the media file rather than pausing it, that would be great (if I close the file I need to find my place again in the podcast, pausing it is my preference for easy resume).

I'm trying to remember this, but I believe I've had the issue where the audio would pause when a message alert activated, and I'd have to go to media player and click play again. A soft reset would correct the problem. That was on the .330 OS, and I can't say I've noticed the problem since. So, perhaps doing a soft reset would correct you issue... it seems similar. You might experiment and see.

Thanks, I have tried battery pulls and loading/reloading various versions of the 5 OS. Sometimes I don't get it for a few days and then it starts happening and then stops again. Dunno if this is a memory leak issue or something else but I have not seen a correlation between resets and the behavior. (it is definitely message alert related though)
