I turned of my edge on my 8900 by going to options-->mobile network--> data services off. By doing that I am not able to connect to internet (browser) with wifi.

What did I do wrong??

Wi-fi is a data service, and so data services must be set to ON.

If you need to make sure your on wi-fi not cell network, just untick mobile network.

Wirelessly posted (White and Nerdy)

"edge" is a standard connection. "EDGE" is connection to blackberry server.

If you disable the mobile network under network connections, and leave wifi on, you will only use wifi
