Default Using Blackberry overseas

Please Login to Remove!

I live in Houston and traveling to Turkey in July. This is the plan.
I do not want to run up my phone bill, so I'd like to take the Tmobile sim card out of 8900 and use the Blackberry for accessing internet using wi-fi spots, taking pictures, appointmnets, alarm clock, timer etc. I won't need my US phone number.
Can I do that without getting charged?
Please advise.
Thanks in advance.

Manage connections > and you uncheck the mark for Mobile Network. That should do. (it disables your Mobile connection and you won't use the connection with your carrier.)
