Angry phone wont switch on

Hi all I am wondering if anyone can help please. The other week whilst at work I recieved a text and replied saying I would have to ring them later as i was busy. 2 hours later I went to use my phone and it was dead so I was obviously thinking that i had run out of battery. when I later got home I put the phone on charge (via the plug) and thought nothing more of it. 6 hours later the phone would still not switch on so I presumed that it had a fault and as I still had a 13 month warrenty on it I sent it into 02 for repair. Got the phone back and they said it was water damaged and therfore no warrenty but the phone has not been wet or even damp. when I got the phone back I took it to a repair guy I know and he said that all the water damage indicators where ok and he couldnt see any water damage. After searching the internet for hours and reading of people who got there phones wet through and still got them to work I was wondering if anyone had any advise for me. For me it seems a convienient fault WATER DAMAGE when ordinary people dont know how to check for it.
