Please Login to Remove!

has anyone found a fix to the Curves wifi problem already... iv'e been searching and waiting for any solution... cause i cant seem to browse again even if my phne indicates that i am connected to a wifi network...

The fix is to get a BB data plan. That's what the BB was designed for.

What wifi problem?

If the wifi logo is lit up, then you're connected and should be good to go.

if it's greyed out, then you dont have BIS-B connectivity, and you can only use the hotspot browser.

and why did you get one?
some carriers are blocking features once they discover a BB without one and others simply add a plan and you end up with a big bill.

Verizon is our primary cell provider, and all of our users have data packages but I've worked with a couple of people with no data package, and it is not fun. As has been mentioned above the cell providers seem to generally disable wi-fi if there is no data package. As I recall AT&T and T-Mobile/Sprint(?) both prevent wi-fi from working if there is no paid data package. Verizon now requires a data package for BB's.
