What is up with the keypad lock and standby soft-buttons not working correctly under .822 versus .411?? I absolutely LOVED those two buttons for their individual functionality. The new OS'es screen lock doesn't show you what's running "under the hood" (it was ideal to tell at a glance if any messages have come in since locking the screen). It's almost as if they've combined screen lock and standby mode into one; which doesn't at all sit well with me.

Are there any OS versions that have been released (or leaked) since .822, which might correct this maddening problem? Thanks, all...

The function of the standby buttons changed a few releases back, and very likely won't be going back to the way it was.

Wow, that's upsetting... thank you, though.

I noticed this change as well, and to be honest I like the way it has been changed to how it is now, but I can see how not everyone would feel the same.
