Default Just downloaded 5.0.0.900. Need to find compatible Auto Standby software?

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using auto standby software with my older OS and just upgraded to 5.0.0.900

Since I used to expect the phone to go into standby mode automatically I am starting pocket dial everybody.

I don't care if it costs me $$$.

Is there software that puts my phone in auto standby mode that is compatible w/ OS version 5.0+?

Thanks in advance....

That method of updating is carrier specific. TMobile may have pushed the update when ATT may not have.

Yep...carrier specific. BTW, AT&T is still on OS 4.5 officially so fat chance of getting anything from them

It's interesting that TMobile is pushing it out this way but the download is not available on TMobile.

I'm running an unlocked 8900 from T-Mobile with a Norwegian carrier, but I signed up for the update newsletter via DM and got an email telling me there was a new update available. I couldn't find a direct download link on t-mobiles website so I think you need to be a t-mobile customer to be able to upgrade your phone. Otherwise I would suggest the next best thing which is upgrading to 5.0.0.822.

Don't upgrade to .822. It was pulled due to problems with ringtones/profiles. I suggest .681.

Unless you ought to change your ringtones every day, .822 is pretty stable. If you can not edit your sound profiles, do a hard battery pull. It worked for me. (the alt+shift+del shortcut instead of quick pull/hard reset didn't work.)

Except for the audio profiles problem, the .822 is far better than .681

On many devices the ringtones don't sound at all. That's why it was pulled by several carriers, including TMobile US and an update to .900 pushed out. You can load what you want but I don't recommend .822.

AT&T haven't pulled 5.0.0.822 at all, it's still there. The ring tone issue seems only to occur if you poke with the tones and profiles and then doesn't seems to "ring". Pull bateery all is well until you poke again.

I see this thread started some four days ago. Is everybody that busy with OS6 updates, leaks and so on that no one will post a link, official or not with a new version of OS5 for BB 8900? I think those with lower budgets will remain 'the bb classics' with our os6 incompetent devices . That being said, please, help us the 'classics' with a new update for our insignificant blackberry-s

Because there is no link. If you have a Tmo device you can get the update through automatic updates. That's it for now.
