Help please.

No one including our friends at Rogers can figure this out.

My Blackberry 8800 will not respond in a manner consistent with the number keys. The number keys will not produce the corresponding numbers.

However if I hold down the alt key and the press all of the letters across the top i.e. Q to P I get the numbers 1 through 10.

It is as if I have the wrong keyboard or a keyboard intended for another Country or purpose perhaps??

Any ideas?

Did you drop it?

Have you tried a battery pull? With the device on, pull the battery out for about 30 seconds, put it back in and let it reboot.

What happens when you do press the Alt + number key?

the num lock is engaged.
pressing the top row of keys Q to P produces numbers 1 to 10.

No it was never wet. Tried removing the battery with no luck.
The people at Rogers are out of ideas as well.
